Hwange National Park is the largest and oldest game reserve in Zimbabwe covering an area of approximately 14 650 square kilometres and is one of Africa’s last vast unfenced wildernesses, a truly iconic destination. Guests have an opportunity of a life time to discover the thriving wildlife and remarkable scenery of Zimbabwe’s largest reserve. We start off the day with an early pick up from Victoria Falls accommodation at about 06h30am.The road transfer to Hwange National Park is about 190km and will arrive approximately at 08h30am.On arrival at Hwange the guests change vehicles, from a transfer bus to an open 4×4 game drive vehicle, ready for the morning game drive into the park accompanied by an experienced guide. The park has several water holes where different animal species can be spotted. Your guide will drive you through the park enabling you to view animals from the top of terrain. The park is home to the continent’s last great elephant and buffalo herds, with a population that varies between 20,000 and 110,000. The National Park sightings may include massive herds of buffalo, sable, hippo, zebra, giraffes, lions, leopard, cheetah, crocodile, hyenas and other animal species resident to the park which include wildebeest, waterbuck, kudu, jackal, eland, bat-eared foxes and more. The morning game drive is followed by lunch at the Lodge or a packed lunch will be served at a picturesque picnic site in the park. After lunch the guests will have one last game drive into the park followed by the road transfer back to Victoria Falls arriving approximately at 18h30 hrs.A minimum number of 4 pax is needed for this trip.
